[sticky entry] Sticky: Nice-to-meet-you Post

As the title implies, this post is for me to talk about me and this dreamwidth. You can call me raku or raxar(not an english native speaker, so. I planned to have vocaloid translation, visual novel rant, game rant, and anime, plus an occasional personal post/fanfic, maybe. But more than anything, I'll post something because I like it, and if you don't like it, it's okay. Also if you're familiar with my tumblr, then welcome. And for people that are not, nice to meet you.
For a start, I just finished playing Sepia Tears on Steam, first time playing it on PC, and I still like it. The art is mysteriously cute, and the SDCG is totally cute. The dialogue though, I really like it. I always like lined up words that end up to be simple, yet deep and thought-provoking. that's basically what I want to see in a visual novel, or anything really. Well, believe it or not, as short as this post is, it already took too much of my time to write (I'm not good at this). See you later.

P.S.Please note that I'm still learning Japanese, and there may be errors in translation.
P.P.S I only post link to videos that was uploaded by its producer, so if the vocaloidP has YT account, I'll embed the YT video, other than that I would embed the video from NND.

Shirobako - my new favorite anime

I just finished watching ep.22 and ep.23 just now, and I think it cement shirobako's place in my top anime list. episode 22 and 23, is where I think, 'everything comes together moment' happens. in ep.22, we were shown:
  • Hiraoka's story(and more important, the first time I felt tarou is useful to Musani), and
  • Ema is getting promoted(kinda) to be an assistant AD.
I think the way the show gave Ema a push from many side(in intentional and unintentional way) is great. We have Miyamori that encouraged her directly, Rii-chan that shares her enthusiasm, and Sugi-san that gave her a gentle advice.

We also get to see Mii-chan and the new animator's development at the same time, which I found clever, while still being true to the character(the new animator eavesdropping, while Mii is asking directly).

And then all of that excitement morphed into fear and surprise when Musani was told that last episode's storyboard is scraped.

Continuing from the episode 22's atmosphere, the team was intense, having to redo everything for the last episode. They want to meet with the author, but they can't. Because author = God, giving another perspective in the industry(which in the end, caused by one lazy manager).

In ep.23 we have Honda return with XL Montblanc for Director, which led to 'bonding' moment between Kinoshita and Nogame-sensei. And last, we have Shizuka called to voice Catherine's sister.

Miyamori is overjoyed and even cry after the recording, and I can't help but feel "yes, at last" and pumps my fist to the air. The last episode is done with better ending, with her friend voiced one of the characters, and don't forget that Rii-chan added one line of her own in the dialog. You could feel we're reaching the apex of development, the result of everything that all character went through in previous episodes.

With mekakucity reload news, some of my kagepro friends rise again. It's quite nostalgic really. Too bad I don't read the novel, and haven't keep up with the manga hha, feeling a bit sad bc of that.

Cillia's work is just hnggh... /worship

You never get disappointed with cillia(aka kyaami on youtube). Before, he/she uploaded Melt cover using Una(new vocaloid) and now we have emon's Shake it! cover with Una, Yukari, and vflower. Like, isn't it just the best?? Yukari and Mayu is two vocaloid I wish to hear and get used more. I won't say anything unnecessary, just listen to it.
p.s. the "Hey let's go" is voice file included in the una package, so it's not vocaloid, that part is by real human.

Playing Bastion

Just spent last few hours playing Bastion, taking a break from Tree of Savior. It was awesome. I guess I underestimated the game because each place is done quick. But then the idols and the plants showed up and it's getting really tough. Gotta love that Scrap musket, perfect for cleaning up the birds.

Raxar's Vocaloid Roundup #1

Well, this is what (hopefully) will be the first post of a serial post here, where I put vocaloid music that I found and like, if you visit vocarank from time to time you probably notice these songs. It also serves as list of songs that may get translated. I'll just open the history of my NND, and post it.

絵のような風景(Painting-like Scenery) feat. IA by ミスミ(Misumi)

The piano throughout the whole song is beautiful. Especially the intro and the outro part.

空想上のデルタ(Delta Beyond the Daydream) feat. Hatsune Miku by 歩行者(Hokousha)

A totally cute miku song, with various kinds of her voice used in one song.

夕染(Dyevening) feat. V_Flower by Balloon

Now this, is a song with a great PV by abogado6(check out 1:47 to 1:48 really), and also a confusing one. I like the fast tempo, reminding me of Eight's work. This song ranked 2nd before, so maybe someone will translate it soon.

Love and Destroy feat. Gumi by Miyake(username:Napoliemon)

The intro is bold I have to say, and the first 30 seconds reminded me of Subete ga F ni Naru's OP actually. Those kinds of beat.

At this point you should realize that I have no big knowledge or experience in music bc I can't say anything much. Probably this is how the next post will look like as well. This is it for the 1st post. Enjoy, and see you later.

Aria the Avvenire, last episode.

I think, after we know there's gonna be more of Aria, we were worried about the possibility it may ruin the ending that origination gave us. Now, after I watched the last part of Aria the Avvenire, I can say that they didn't ruin it. They nailed it. Believe it or not, I laughed at the intro, cried(twice) in the middle, and full of nostalgic feeling when the credits roll. I'm so, so happy, excited, and probably a bit sad watching it.

彼女 (She) by Spoony Automata feat. Hatsune Miku - English lyric

"She's had enough"

Spoony Automata is a group consist of Croissant Chicago(Music&Lyric) and Tetola(Drum&Bass arrangement).
I really like this song and it's been stuck in my head for a while, so here's the translation to a song that boldly shows you that life is free of anything, you're the one that limit it.
